Editor’s Response: Citizens for Political Reform in Allegany County is a grass roots effort started by a group of concerned local citizens. Everyday, it seems, the group gets larger and more active; however, there are no membership requirements, no dues. The political process is supposed to be open to all citizens and that is the way that our group views the effort. We have many contributors to the content of the site - it is a very non-partisan group. The common goal for everyone involved is change in the political structure in our county. We do have regular meetings and network frequently. We do not have elected officers - it is not a formal organization. And, of course, we think our agenda is pretty clear. If you have an interest in participating in our efforts, please let us know and we will be sure to let you know when we are getting together. At the same time, your comments to the site are always welcome. |
